Feedback From the day (30.6.09)

“This should be government funded and run every week”

“I am writing to say that I found yesterday’s conference excellent, well organised, full of positivity and can do attitude. It is so refreshing from what we normally hear in the media and from politicians. Well done to all involved.”
“I hope you’re taking a well-deserved day of rest! I attended the think2Act event yesterday and found it fantastic. Thank you so much for taking the time to organise this - there’s a lot of people feeling a lot better today as a result (me included!).”

“Superbly run and brilliant that two individuals decided to act to help the country”

“Most useful day out. Very well organised and very motivating. More such events needed. Great networking opportunity and information provider”.

“the conference was very relevant to my start up business”

“I left inspired to follow my dream and set up my business - thank you”

‘’I actually had to really think if there is anything that could have been improved and there really isnt”

“I now plan on starting my own business. Your conference helped affirm what I always wanted to do.  Who knows, maybe you will invite me back next year as one of the speakers”

“Well done to all involved especially the two talismanic organisers.  Whether it is reprised or not, and hopefully it will be with motivated backers, it was a really professional event that made a difference. I feel the greatest damage the recession can do is not economic but to people’s sense of hope.  An event like think2act is a buffer against that.”

“I have a small story to sum up the ‘positive ripple effect’ this event had. A friend of mine (currently unemployed) was in a signing-on queue in a South County Dublin dole office. She said a lady beside her started to talk about this ‘incredible event’ she had attended. Soon enough three other people in the queue added to the conversation saying they had also attended the event and had glowing reviews. What followed was a conversation between ten people in the dole queue speaking positively about their job searches, career ambitions and start-up business plans. The event was the Think2Act conference, the result…optimism, ambition and enthusiasm!”

“think2Act changed my life. I have been involved in volunteer work since then. It has helped me to realize that you are not the job you do but a person with skills and full unrealised potential that can be of use to other members of the community. Also from the point of a non national the huge potential of the Irish society to adapt to the changing environment and come with new solutions. It is clear that we cannot face the current economical/social downturn with models/ideas of the past”

“As an experienced HR professional and coach I attended the first Think2Act conference in June curious to see what it was all about. Since February I have been busy working on the wind down of SR Technics which unfortunately involves over 1000 colleagues and myself facing very significant career and life changes. I have great confidence in the human spirit, in our ability to rise to and to overcome what seems to be insurmountable challenges. The Think2Act event was inspiring, the organizers values shun through, and their sensitive determination to make a difference for the people attending by breaking the ‘recession mould’ and shining a light of hope into the future for individuals, together with steps to give people confidence to get them there. Great credit is due to Celine and Eibhlin for this very positive initiative, they deserve great thanks and success”
